Abay Bank has donated 10 million Ethiopian Birr (ETB) to Mekedonia Home for the Elderly and Mentally Disabled People, in connection with the fundraising campaign held at the center.
Yehuala Gessesse, CEO of Abay Bank, alongside senior executives, has handed over the donation at the fundraising campaign center, aimed at mobilizing funds to support the center’s critical program and operations.
During the handover ceremony, Yehuala emphasized that Abay Bank has consistently prioritized corporate social responsibility since its inception, with Mekedonia remaining a key beneficiary of these efforts. He underscored that the 10-million-Birr contribution aligns with the Bank’s commitment to address societal challenges through sustained social responsibilities.
Yehuala, further mentioned that 3 Million ETB was contributed by involving the Bank’s staff, and 7 Million ETB was contributed by the Bank.
Biniam Belete, founder and General Manager of Mekedonia Home for the Elderly and Mentally Disabled People, expressed sincere gratitude for Abay Bank’s long-standing partnership, pointing out that the bank has been a steadfast supporter since the center’s founding.
